Former US Housing Secretary Joins Generation Mortgage

imageWe already have the beloved Robert Wagner, James Garner, and even Pat Boone talking about reverse mortgages, why not add one more?  Last week Atlanta based Generation Mortgage announced that Jack Kemp would be joining their team as a company spokesperson.  As a former US Housing Secretary, nine-term Congressman, Vice Presidential candidate and professional football quarterback, Kemp will soon be operating on a new “playing field.”

“We are thrilled that Jack has agreed to represent Generation Mortgage and the reverse mortgage industry,” said Jeffrey Lewis, Chairman of Generation Mortgage.  “We’ve ascertained that the vast majority of American seniors admire Jack’s outstanding accomplishments, his multi-faceted career and respect his values, financial acumen, and dedication to the American Dream.  A strong advocate of the housing industry, Jack is a natural fit for us as he was deeply enmeshed in affordable housing issues, housing finance and home ownership when he served as US Housing Secretary from 1989-1993.  We are honored that he has agreed to help us promote our wide variety of reverse mortgage products.”

In recent years, Mr. Kemp has spoken with seniors nationwide, many of whom mistakenly believe that the government will provide for them in a comfortable manner when their resources are scarce.  He strongly advocates considering a reverse mortgage for those who qualify as part of a comprehensive plan structured to allow seniors to live in their homes for as long as they so desire with greater financial security.

“A reverse mortgage is certainly not for everyone, but it can play a significant role in one’s ability to care for oneself and one’s family later on in life,” said Mr. Kemp.  “I am truly impressed by the dedicated team at Generation Mortgage, which has forged a strong commitment to helping senior homeowners 62 and older take charge of their financial future.”  To read a copy of the full press release click the link below.
