ReverseVision adds Butler as new director of business development

Reverse mortgage software solutions provider ReverseVision announced the addition of mortgage industry veteran Steve Butler to its sales team, bolstering the company with a new hire that brings 35 years of previous experience to his role focused on the reverse mortgage business.

This is yet another new addition the company has made as part of its ongoing “strategic expansion plan,” which also served as an impetus for the addition of two new employees designed to optimize its internal operations made this past November.

Butler will work to educate lenders on the potential for reverse mortgage products and introduce the ReverseVision Exchange (RVX) loan origination system (LOS) to traditional, forward-facing lenders that are looking to add reverse mortgages to their product mix. He will also update lenders on ReverseVision’s API roadmap to enable reverse products to work with their existing LOS system, while also communicating with brokers and wholesalers to begin originating reverse mortgage loans using tools developed by ReverseVision.

“We are pleased to have someone with Steve’s industry experience and talent join our growing team,” said Bill Mitchell, CRO at ReverseVision in a statement. “We continue to see an increasing demand for our reverse lending technology and adding mortgage professionals like Steve who possess rich industry experience and a proven track record of success will help us better serve clients as ReverseVision continues expanding.”

Butler most recently served for over a decade at QuestSoft, mortgage compliance software provider. While there, he worked with independent mortgage bankers, banks, credit unions and other LOS vendors. Butler is described by ReverseVision as a “consistently top producer” for QuestSoft, part of its management team, and helped it transition after an acquisition by banking risk management company Ncontracts.

“I am excited to join the team at ReverseVision and begin working with lenders to assist in diversifying their product offerings using technology,” Butler said of his appointment. “There is a great opportunity in reverse mortgages; it’s an ideal time to leverage technology like ReverseVision offers to empower lenders with tech tools for success in reverse lending.”

RV previously established its CRO position and hired Bill Mitchell to serve in the role in November. Earlierin 2021, ReverseVision announced it restructured its technology service plans and pricing matrix in an effort to streamline the entry of lenders into the reverse mortgage business space, while further aligning its offerings with a broader mission of allowing more adequate service to senior customers who use FHA lending programs.

President and CEO Joe Langner was also appointed in April to the Board of Directors at the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA) a few months after he took over CEO duties from John Button at the beginning of the year.
